The eclectic beauty of the festival is as genuine as it is rewarding. Everything from the music to the even bigger meaning behind it reveals just how unique and beautiful it is.

Casey’s Second Journey Into The Forest
I was so ready to return to the place I called home. I already knew of its magic and what the forest can do for you and your soul. I was excited to step inside this alternate universe and be reminded about what was important in life.

If the incredible production, beautiful art installations, and long thought out hidden secrets weren’t enough, the vibes from the people are what really make this festival special. The forest has the power of bringing out the best in people. Forest Fam is a real thing. The people at Forest are the most genuine, loving, and caring people you will meet over any other festival. There were multiple times throughout my long two weeks at the forest where I felt appreciated, loved, and inspired by complete strangers.
The forest is a reminder to always try to live the way we do here, even after leaving the festival- to remember what is important in life, to keep your mind open, to look out for one another, and to spread the love.

Lexi: The Importance of Love and Self Acceptance
If you’re thinking about attending Electric Forest next year, it is a must. People come from around the United States to experience the truly magical power that Electric Forest has. From the artist recognition, the talent and just the overall atmosphere, this is where my journey was going to commence.
My mind was clouded with so many doubts before I went to Electric Forest. I had no idea what to expect. I traveled solo to Rothbury, Michigan for Electric Forest and the pain of losing a lot of going through a breakup didn’t ease my anxieties. It was bittersweet, but I needed a re-invention. I knew about the power of Electric Forest and it made my journey crystal clear. It was then I realized, everything was going to be okay.
I previously met a friend who asked me if I was going to Electric Forest the same weekend and the rest was history. If it wasn’t for my squad, I don’t think I would’ve have had as much fun. It was as if I’d known them all of my life. Putting back the puzzle pieces, I enjoyed the eurythmic laughs and the dips in Lake Michigan together. They displayed such love and care for me, nothing can match that. Negative energy is like a leech and that was pushing my life before Electric Forest and Electric Forest helped me come to the realization that positive energy is everything and more. They truly were my saving grace at Electric Forest. When I went to Forest, I constantly found notes that brought me back to what I was looking for.
Sure, the music was beautiful, motivating, and eclectic, but that’s not what Electric Forest is all about. Electric Forest is about searching for those answers, serendipitous experiences and loving one another. The answers I was searching for were within myself all along. It’s that I matter. From randomly running into my friends Gloria, Isabel and Mandy to meeting so many empowering auras, it was unshakeable. The people I met throughout Electric Forest were the most magical I’ve ever encountered. It was the one festival where I felt like we were one.
With that liberating feeling, I conquered my fear of ferris wheels, I found that true love is within yourself and you have to live your best life. I could not thank Forest and the people I camped with enough for such a beautiful experience of self-discovery and self-love and finding my rave family.
Dana: The Magical Connection Between Nature, Art, and Others
There is no other festival like it. Being there feels like a different planet altogether where dreams are coming to life everywhere you look. Electric Forest is the perfect unity between music, creativity, community, and wonder; after experiencing this for the second year in a row, I completely understand why so many people return every year.

The experience of witnessing such a magnificent place is beyond words, but I will say that my second year inside the Forest exceeded every expectation I had. I returned to my favorite spots like the silent disco and the Hangar to discover that they were somehow elaborated more so than my fondest memories of them. The team of artists who create the magic of this event truly outdid themselves when they reassembled all that the Forest has to offer once again. Because of this, I have never felt so well connected to everything around me as I did during that weekend.
Amongst camping with a group of friends for the first time, seeing so many beautiful people I had been looking forward to meeting with, experiencing incredible art-making and live music, along with everything else that makes this celebration so special, I really found a magnitude of love that I have never found anywhere else. Likewise, I was able to connect with myself in ways that were heartfelt and essential to my emotional growth.

This festival allows a safe space for people to experience genuine enchantment and happiness. The Forest gives us a home to connect with nature, the arts, fellow human beings, and, most importantly, ourselves. This joyful occasion reminds us of the small pleasures and teaches us how to spread those good feelings to one another on a daily basis.
