Headliners, our beloved Electric Daisy Carnival held in Sin City is drawing closer, thanks to its newly-established date. EDC Las Vegas, or EDCLV for short, was once upon a time held in June. The date was pushed up to May 18-20 for the 2018 festival season due to the newly-added camping experience. Ever since EDC moved to Las Vegas, the event’s growth continues to rise year to year. Drawing 400,000 headliners from every state and more than 60 countries yearly is one thing that makes EDCLV Insomniac’s biggest festival.

Camp at EDC
This will be EDCLV’s first year offering camping. They seem to have an amazing setup. The center of Camp EDC is the Mesa. The Mesa will act as the tent city entertainment hub. It will offer activities and amenities that campers can enjoy all weekend long beginning with an exclusive Thursday night kickoff party featuring Excision, G Jones, and Habstrakt. There will also be live entertainment atop an art installation, the Parliament Art Car, daytime pool parties, go-kart racing, curated guest speaker series and group classes. If you decide not to camp, don’t fret—Las Vegas is filled with hotels, and there are shuttles available for transport to and from the Speedway.

Electric Daisy Carnival promises a celebration of life, love, art, and music under the electric sky. Eight stages will take care of the music portion of the promise. Art cars will provide mobile listening experience as they roam the speedway playing all forms of music. Other stages will cater to a specific genre: trance, techno/house, dubstep/trap/drum and bass, or hardstyle. This year there will be a new stage introduced, steroBloom, which will showcase Insomniac Records’ up-and-coming DJs.
What’s a Carnival With No Rides?
EDC is a legit carnival with full-sized rides. An adult playland that also includes carnival games, carnival foods, and 3-D art structures. The Funkdafied Freaks or the EDC dancers will be in full effect. Enjoy a parade of stilters, aerialists, circus performers, and the other whimsical characters of carnival square. The entertainment is not the only perk. There will be free wi-fi and charging stations, lockers, water stations and so many other amenities available for your convenience so all you have to do is come and have fun.
Must-sees at EDCLV
Each year, more and more females join the lineup. Although still the minority, you can find some great sets played by some of the industry’s top ladies: REZZ, Soothslayer, DJ Stephanie b2b Lady Faith, DJ AniMe, and KITTENS. Amongst the fellas, you can expect a good show from Borgeous, Black Tiger Sex Machine, Green Velvet, JOYRYDE, Gammer, Flux Pavillion b2b Doctor P, and GTA. EDM is not the only sound you can enjoy. Hip hop, a close friend to EDM, has made its way back to EDC this year with a set featuring London on da Track.
Step Right Up
Come one, come all, step right up and get your tickets. They are still available and so are camping passes. The lineup is fire, the entertainment is awesome and the attraction is magnetic.
