28 Jul Denver’s Global Dance Festival Experience
Colorado’s largest summer festival experience was a weekend to remember! Last weekend, I explored the world of Global Dance Festival and all of the distinctive elements that make it come to life. It was fun to embrace my sense of adventure and get my heart racing on carnival rides. When I visited the Silent Disco stage, I danced like no one was watching. I even wandered amongst the many striking art installations and discovered other hidden gems throughout the festival grounds.
The most thrilling time was on my favorite ride – the Supershot. This ride is a 90-foot tall sky drop where you make your way to the top before taking a sudden plunge back down to the ground! I also took a ride on the towering Ferris Wheel. Here, I was able to get the best view of the main stage and the downtown Denver skyline. After roaming around the rides, my senses were delighted to discover a fanciful playground filled with art installations.
People in creative costumes spread infectious energy and positive vibes. The enchanting ensemble of roaming dancers, stilters, and circus performers added an element of theatricality and playfulness both on and off the stage. After more hours of walking, Denver’s finest food trucks encircled a seating area where I enjoyed a mid-festival snack/dinner break. There was an assortment of gourmet delicacies to tantalize my taste buds. A personal favorite snack of mine was the caramel filled churro!
Throughout both days of the festival, I made sure to see some of my favorite artists. With four stages and a silent disco section, I explored the entire festival grounds. At the Summit Stage (main stage), I enjoyed ARMNHMR, Jai Wolf, Troyboi, Deadmau5, Goldfish, Illenium B2B Said The Sky, and Flux Pavilion B2B Doctor P. At the Northern Lights Stage, I melted my face to ATLIENS, Figure, Liquid Stranger, Riot Ten, 4B, Savoy, and Adventure Club. With the Amazon Stage, I danced to Destructo and Gorgon City. Lastly, the Tundra Stage exposed me to finally seeing Blackgummy, Cosmic Gate, Lady Faith, and Junkie Kid. I discovered multiple amazing artists at the Crystal Cavern Silent Disco Stage where the vibe was so great!

What I enjoyed the most about the experience was the crowd’s constant excitement and the wonderful weather Denver has to offer! Above all, I will definitely be attending this festival again!
