We are 3 weeks away from Electric Forest, and I am BEYOND EXCITED!!
I am a list and research kind of gal, so I thought I’d provide you with a checklist and packing of what you need to prepare for your trip to the forest.
You can get food in the campgrounds and inside the venue, but if you are like me and have dietary restrictions or just like to bring food to avoid extra cost, prepare to bring things like pasta, snacks, fruits & veggies, sandwiches, and pre-cooked proteins. Don’t forget the condiments!
I can’t stress this enough, but be sure to drink lots of water! There are filling stations all around the camps for you to refill. Bring your reusable water bottle, hydration packs, and a couple of reusable, non-glass gallon jugs. I also recommend bringing electrolyte packets like Pedialyte, Liquid IV, Gatorade, or Vitamin C to keep your body filled with vital nutrients and minerals.
You must be 21+ to bring in or consume alcohol. If you plan on bringing alcohol, note that no glass or hard liquor is allowed. Only canned beer and boxed wine are allowed, and the limit is 1 case of beer and 1 box of wine per person. You cannot substitute a case of beer for a box of wine or vice-versa.
Showers are available for $10 per day, and you’ll need to bring cash and an easy-to-carry toiletry bag for your items.
As a veteran raver, I also recommend bringing a couple of rolls of toilet paper for yourself. I have been to many festivals where toilet paper ran out, and I was thankful I brought my own.
NOTE: If you bring prescription medications, they must be in their original bottle with the attached label. I.D. must match the name on the label. Declare to security during any search.
Weather can range a lot, and there is always a chance of rain. Come prepared for it all.
Like any rave – come as you are! You can be super casual and cute for this festival or go all out. This year I am doing a combination of both and an option for warm weather and cold. For shoes, make sure you have several options. You will also want hats, sunglasses, bandanas, and essential clothing.
