Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers

Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers

Date nights with you and your rave bae just got a little more complicated but have no fear because I’ve got you covered with this list of the best social distance date ideas for ravers. We are beginning to see concerts make a comeback in the old school style of drive-ins. Unfortunately, some do come with a steep price tag. They can also not always be close enough to home.

Besides, travel isn’t an expense many can take on at the moment. So, I’ve compiled a list of the best quarantine friendly dates you and your rave bae can enjoy together. It doesn’t matter whether you live a bike ride or a plane ride away from one another!

Live Stream Concert

Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers #1 – Live Stream Concerts

Of course, a live stream show will never be able to replace the real thing. At the moment, they are plentiful and an affordable way for you and your rave bae to see your favorite DJs. To make this experience more enjoyable, throw on a rave outfit that makes you feel energized and confident!

Decorate your room with black lights, LED strip lights, or lasers to bring the concert experience to life. Click here to check out more ways you can enhance your space for a virtual show. Are your favorite DJs skipping the live stream trend? My friends and I have even had some virtual raves with our local DJ buddies putting on a show for us! It’s a great way to support your artist friends and enjoy a night with your rave bae.

Flow with LED Hula Hoops

Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers #2 – Practice Flow

Most of us have found ourselves with more time on our hands than we’re used to, and at this point, we’re bored of it. Now is the perfect time to start or improve on a hobby like flow! Whether you’re interested in gloving, orbits, poi, hula hoops, or space whips, you and your rave bae can work on a show dedicated to each other or your rave crew.

Each of these flow forms has their own difficulties so while you may not be the best at hula hoops, you could be a total natural at poi! Even if you have no intention of bringing flow out of your bedroom and to the main stage, it’s a fun way to destress and pass the time. Plus, it’ll get you back up and dancing to some of your favorite songs in a new way.

Kandi

Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers #3 – Make Kandi

I know I’m not the only one that has indulged in some online shopping these last several months in anticipation of what I’ll be wearing to my next concert. A more wallet-friendly alternative to outfit preparation is making kandi! Whether you and your rave bae make kandi for one another, your rave crew, or to exchange with new friends at your next outing, there are tons of styles and designs to choose from.

From bracelets and necklaces to masks and earrings, the possibilities are endless. Choose a different theme every time you make new kandi to keep this activity fun and engaging. Besides, I personally love an abundance of accessory options.

Click here to also get a variety of letter beads from Amazon so you can spell out whatever words you want your bracelets to say!

Netflix EDM Documentary

Social Distance Date Ideas for Ravers #4 – Documentaries and Chill

There are some great documentaries out there that would interest my fellow ravers. Steve Aoki’s 2016 film I’ll Sleep When I’m Dead and This Is Tomorrow, which celebrated Tomorrowland’s 10th anniversary in 2015 are both available on Netflix. The 2017 film What We Started highlights some of the history of electronic dance music. It’s super interesting because it predicts how we might see the genre evolve in the future.

A personal favorite is The Making of Pretty Lights’ New Album: A Color Map of the Sun. It’s an oldie but a goodie released back in 2013. This short documentary is available for free on YouTube. I’ve included it for you below to make date night just a little bit easier. There’s several more than I can list here so even if you’ve seen the ones listed above, search through your streaming services and Google! You may be surprised at what you find.

And there you have it, a month’s worth of dates! The best part is these are dates than can be repeated and they’re different every single time. If you haven’t already, be sure to start your free trial of EDM World Magazine to learn kandi tips, explore the art of flow, and more!
