Rob Fernandez, Legendary NYC Promoter Passes Away
By: Denice Dal Braccio
Last night the world was struck with the news of Rob Fernandez’s death. He was a legendary promoter in NYC and worked at every major dance venue from the original Sound Factory, Twilo, Palladium, Limelight, Centro-Fly, Sound Fractory Bar, Discotheque, Cielo, and Pacha NYC. With over 20 years of work to his name, Rob will be deeply missed.
I had the pleasure of seeing him at Pacha many times and his smile would light up the room. He was hard to miss as his passion for the nightlight scene was infectious. Rob shaped the face of our scene here and I will forever be grateful to him for that. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
The cause of his death is currently unknown.
