The festival’s daytime sanctuary is getting an after-hours alter ego — and it goes all the way underground.

North Coast Music Festival has always been full of little pockets of magic, but few are as beloved as the Chill Dome — that hazy, laser-drenched sanctuary where alternative sets and immersive programming let you catch your breath (and lose your mind, gently). For 2026, as North Coast rolls through its 16th anniversary, that beloved space is getting a serious upgrade. And a nighttime alter ego.

By Day, a Sanctuary. By Night, a Different Beast Entirely

Here’s the twist: the Chill Dome you know and love isn’t going anywhere. By daylight, it stays exactly what it’s always been — a haven for alternative sets, immersive programming, a cool-off and escape from that summer heat, and one of the festival’s most jaw-dropping laser experiences. But once the sun clocks out, the space transforms into The Bunker: a dedicated hard techno and riddim environment for anyone whose idea of a good time involves a little more sweat, a little more darkness, and a whole lot more BPM.

Think of it as the Chill Dome’s mysterious nocturnal cousin who wears all black and knows a guy.
