When it comes to the music industry, I often hear people say, “That must be a hard industry to be in. How do you deal with so many people having big egos and acting like they are entitled to fame, fortune, and success?”
Truth be told, that can certainly be the case, however, I don’t surround myself with or work with people like that.
I’ve always believed in and lived my life under a different motto. My motto is, “Your vibe attracts your tribe” and my tribe doesn’t tolerate people with big egos or entitled mindsets.
The people I work with within the music industry are talented, driven, hard-working, and are constantly seeking to educate themselves. They value growth and understand the importance of developing all aspects of their music career.
These creatives know that being a talented music producer or singer is only a teeny tiny starting point of what it takes these days to build a long-term sustainable career in the music industry.
They believe they still have a lot to learn and are eager to build their network with other like-minded individuals. Taking leaps forward to them means getting outside of their comfort zones. These are the types of people you will meet at Neverland Retreats.
Neverland Retreats is a new kind of music retreat. Neverland is a carefully curated workshop experience where up-and-coming talent learns from current hit-making producers, A&Rs, music supervisors, songwriters, and other industry professionals for a week-long mentorship program.
The Neverland Retreats experience offers daily activities and advice on how to become successful in the music industry while taking in the jungle and beach experience. It’s situated in the beautiful surf village of Nosara, Guanacaste in Costa Rica.
Your week will be filled with delicious organic foods to feed your belly, monkeys swinging from trees to feed your desire for more creative adventures, and mentorship sessions to feed your brain with actionable advice and tips to truly impact your career. If that unique environment outside of your regular routine doesn’t inspire you to sign up, I’m not sure what else would!
If you are an artist, songwriter, or producer who has incredible talent but you are currently feeling stuck with what the next step needs to be to help you move your music forward, the Neverland Retreat is designed specifically with you in mind.
Real relationships and connections get formed unlike anything else you have experienced at other massive music conferences. This event is for only a small group of 40 people so it allows you to really get close with other attendees and mentors throughout the week. Quality over quantity prevails.
Every day there will be music industry panels where you’ll get to speak directly to the music industry guests and ask your questions while also getting feedback on your demo critiques. Every attendee will have an opportunity to have their demo heard by their industry panel. When was the last time someone actually listened to your demo and gave you constructive feedback? You’ll finally get it here.
There’s also artist showcases and an on-site mini production studio to lay down musical ideas as they arise in paradise. You might even find a favorite music collaborator for your next music release with the amount of high-quality talent present. This is an application first process where you get reviewed for a pre-approval type event so only the best are accepted and invited to attend.
You’ll fly into Liberia Airport (Airport Code: LIR) where you will be met by our trusted shuttle company and local guide to transport you to the surf village of Nosara! The estimated travel time is about two hours. Do not hesitate to ask your driver to stop for snacks or breaks.
Also, you will meet with other members from the retreat, so be sure to use the journey to make some new friends! The drive through the Central American rain forest is your first taste of jungle life.
