A few days ago, the well-known producer Marshmello released a collaborative track with the late 21-year-old Soundcloud rapper, Lil Peep.

The track titled, “Spotlight,” features a chilling picture of Peep in a red blur with gothic text. Mainly, the track itself is not merely a Marshmello track, but a hybrid of Peep’s dark trap sound with the danceable sounds of the producer.

Originally, Marshmello had planned not to release the track. However, Peep’s mother highly requested to have much of Peep’s music released in his memory.

This is the first time a track featuring Peep is to be released since his passing in November. The track has a deep emotional impact on the late rapper’s many fans and is made immortal thanks to Marshmello.
