We look in the world today and there’s something missing. There is a lack of humility, kindness and most of all, respect. We are taught how to respect others, whether religion, race or different opinions. Respect is the fundamental rule and Da Tweekaz & Anklebreaker gives us a little speech about respect with their new song “Respect” with Anklebreaker.

I found the song while looking at the New Release section of Spotify (which is amazing). The song automatically grabbed my attention when the lyrics were talking about respect… and of course, I love hardstyle.
The lyrics of the song say it all— It’s about Respect. As the lyrics are the pivotal point of the song, so are the hardstyle fundamentals that come with it. My take on the song is it’s a great way to talk about how to love and respect each other.
The PLUR lifestyle revolves around Peace, Love, Unity, and Respect. The song “Respect” by Da Tweekaz tunes in on the definition of respect and how it is important in the world. With everything going on in the world, this song is a refreshing reminder of how to respect one another.
I wouldn’t have found my love for this song and hardstyle if it wasn’t for my boyfriend, T.M. T.M. is a huge fan of hardstyle and we both agreed that the lyrics and overall composition made the song what it really is. Even though the song was released last year, the music industry needs more songs like this. It would just make everyone happier and on the same level. That’s why I love the EDM community.
