Hardwell Announces Performance Retirement

What’s Electronic Dance Music without Hardwell? Hardwell is an OG, there’s no denying that. We were completely shocked to find out that Hardwell is retiring. You heard it here, Hardwell announces retirement from performing. But, why?

Hardwell Announces Retirement But Will Still Be Creating Music

This isn’t what we were expecting at all today. Just today, Hardwell took to Facebook announcing that he will be stepping away from performing. Hardwell wrote in a Facebook post from his page the reasoning behind the break. In the heartfelt letter to his fans, this is what Robbert had to say:

It’s understandable as to why. Hardwell has proved himself in the industry. Artists such as Hardwell, Tiesto, Martin Garrix, Steve Aoki eat and breathe the industry. With crazy tour schedules, ongoing interviews, and press releases, it opens your eyes one way or another. We will never forget the amount of energy Hardwell brings to the table.

My experience with Hardwell was always an amazing one. Especially, when I traveled to Ultra Miami in 2018 to see him perform. With his exuberant energy, his cutting-edge style and his contribution with charities nationwide, his retirement is well deserved. It’s not a goodbye for Hardwell, more like “we will be roting for you no matter what and live your best life.” We wish you nothing but the best in your journey, Hardwell. And we will be there to support you in whatever you choose to do on your journey.

If you want to catch Hardwell’s last show, he will be performing his All Ages show in the Ziggo Dome during Amsterdam Dance Event on October 18, 2018. For more information on Hardwell, click here.
