The tour also put-ups rising and talented DJs such as TWRK, Ricky Remedy, Wiwek, Clockwork, and Jauz. The MDBP has a stacked lineup loaded with Mad Decent artists and also features various artists of assorted genres and reputations, including rappers Riff Raff, Tyler the Creator, and CL. Other notable DJs and producers making appearances include Oliver Heldens, Skrillex, RL Grime, Knife Party, Porter Robinson, and Borgore.

Collaborations Among the Lineup

As if the lineup wasn’t already impressive, the almost month-long series of concerts see a large number of showings by both of Diplo’s major collaborative projects. The projects consist of Jack Ü and Major Lazer. Diplo is regarded as one of the most prolific music producers of our time. His influence in the EDM world is resounding. Almost a year ago on the same tour, Jack Ü debuted at the MDBP in San Diego where he announced that Jack Ü was the duo Skrillex and Diplo. In late February of 2015, Jack Ü released a very successful album titled Skrillex and Diplo Present Jack U. It includes singles “Take U There” and “Where R U Now” featuring Justin Bieber. The album received wide success. Months later, “Where R U Now” is still the number one dance song on iTunes.

Aside from his role in the duo Jack Ü, Diplo works with fellow DJs Walshy Fire and Jillionaire as the collaborative group known as Major Lazer. Major Lazer fuses dancehall and reggae, drawing heavy influences on Jamaican sound. Major Lazer released international recognition with their hit albums Guns Don’t kill People… Lazers Do, Free the Universe, and most recently Peace is the Mission. Peace is the Mission’s first single, “Lean On,” featuring fellow Mad Decent member DJ Snake is a surefire summer hit. The album has an eclectic array of sounds, ranging from the energizing song “Too Original” to much more mellow and progressive sounds like “Be Together” and “Powerful.”
