EDC Las Vegas Plans to Take on a Whole New Vibe for 2018 Festival

The Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) in Las Vegas will essentially take on a whole new vibe for its 2018 festival. Insomniac founder Pasquale Rotella, has made some major changes to the world famous mega event. Let me count the ways! Rotella is now offering new hours, new stages, and a whole new date (May 18-20). Those are not even the biggest news of all. Those changes will occur with the goal of adding the CAMPING EXPERIENCE!!

Changing the date to May results in more suitable weather conditions. Collected data led to selecting May as the perfect time of year. The average temperature in Fahrenheit has been in the 90s during the day and around 64° at night for the past 10 years in Las Vegas. Improved weather conditions allow for possible camping experience! That means campsites, RVs and sound camps, like those offered at BurningMan and Middlelands.

Do you know what else this means? NO TRAFFIC for those who camp out and LESS TRAFFIC for commuters. Travel time will not only be improved by the camping options, but the construction at the Speedway is scheduled to be complete, thus clearing up three full lanes for those who choose to drive.

I’m not done relaying the awesome news. Other strategies to make EDC even greater, are changes to lineups and performances. There are plans to include an opening ceremony, on the cosmicMEADOW lawn. Therefore, early owls will enjoy vibing out to extended sets just before the sun sets. Also, in trend with many other festivals, each stage will now offer cohesive vibes. The before sunset jam sessions will assist in spacing out mass entry arrivals experienced in the past.
